Backyard Wedding
It’s a lot of fun! It’s a lot of work, but you can do this!
√ You have good ideas.
√ Choose where the ceremony will be, where dinner will be, dancing. I recommend tables set up around the dance floor.
√ Pitch a tent. Don’t forget the chandelier (-:
√ A lemonade stand of course!
√ Guest activity: “Climb the donut wall!”
√ Invite family and friends; don’t forget the kids.
√ You’ll be outdoors, so invite the birds too. (This back yard had an amazing Aviary. The birds lightly chortled and chirped in agreement throughout the ceremony.)
√ Add food and music; mix gently.
You can do this!
Hummingbird Creations
Clint and Edith are very creative individuals with great ideas. They planned/constructed/decorated their backyard doing everything necessary to beautifully set the stage for their wedding celebration. Sheila and I performed Flute and Piano music during the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Then, I conducted the festivities as their Master of Ceremonies. Everyone had fun!
It wasn’t until after their wedding that I realized that Clint and Edith had done it all themselves. In a way, Clint and Edith are taking a path similar to the one Sheila and I had taken in establishing Elegant Music. For us getting married was fun and the right thing to do and so we started performing for weddings. See: The Story of Elegant Music.
Clint and Edith have established HBC HummingbirdCreations wedding and event planning, design and coordination.
