“Here are a variety of trio ensembles.
These are not all of the trio ensembles Elegant Music offers.
But these are some of the trios I have filmed…”

Music was an important part of this wedding ceremony. I had a lot of fun working with the mother of the bride planning music. She and her daughter made very creative music choices allowing me the opportunity to write new arrangements for the Elegant Music Quintet.
The Elegant Music Quintet organically evolved from Flute and Piano (Duo) to include Violin and Cello which created the Elegant Music Quartet.
Then, Harp was added to the ensemble which created a quintet (a five instrument ensemble). The combinations of these instruments produce an expansive variety of music textures and sound.
From receiving requests the Elegant Music Quintet performs an ever growing repertoire of popular and contemporary music covers, motion picture themes and traditional classical music.

Elegant Music started in 1990 with Sheila and I performing Flute and Piano Music for weddings and parties.
It was from this group that Elegant Music expanded to providing a wide variety of Live Music ensembles, DJ Dance Music and Master of Ceremonies.

Throughout the years Sheila and I have had the pleasure of meeting and performing with some of the finest musicians in Los Angeles.
The musicians of Elegant Music are not only talented artists but are also very nice people. We look for these qualities in the musicians we choose to perform with.
Just as each person is unique, instruments have qualities that are also unique. The sound of each instrument lends variety to the ensemble inspiring exploration and expression in a performance.
It is a lot of fun to talk with someone about music they like; it’s an adventure of discovery.
I have found it is always productive to speak directly to the host/client. The value of a telephone conversation can not be over stated.
During the course of the conversation the clients ideas, comments and concerns are very important in determining the style of music and the ensemble for the event.
So, the client is consulted. Their vision is discovered. Their desires and concerns are understood.
Their requests serve as artistic representation of the mood and style of the event.
With these facts established I am confident I can guide the event to success…
…Now add to this the “Occasion” or “Theme” of the event.
Also, the “Location” and its existing decor may impose a design and suggest a theme or even a style of music.
It is a lot of fun to discover these factors and to consider the possibilities.
A lot goes on at a special event requiring coordination; an event itinerary beautifully written to flow from one activity to the next allowing each contributing element to shine and be appreciated in a distraction free environment. The Culinary Arts, Decor, Music and a seamless level of service all working together; magic!
You can learn a lot about someone by talking to them about music; their favorite artists, their favorite songs, performances they have attended, songs from movies they like, combinations of instruments they like, style of music they like. This is one of my favorite parts of planning music.
Planning music for a special event is very creative and a lot of fun. Each part of your celebration can have its own music. I look forward to hearing your ideas.
Sincerely, Eric Zimmermann
