On a hilltop, this estate includes 365-degree view overlooking the mountains of Malibu complete with an infinity pool and helicopter pad. Now, I understand if you can’t figure out how to fit a helicopter into your wedding but to me, the obvious use of an empty helicopter pad is to put the wedding ceremony on it! Well, Aquafuzion wedding designers Debbie Liaw and Beverley Peterson did just that for Jenny and Frank.

Grand Entrance and First Dance
For their grand entrance, I was their DJ and Master of Ceremonies but I quickly sat down at my piano to play the first dance. Yes, a live quartet playing probably one of the most romantic rock ballads ever written “Open Arms” by Journey. Having both hands full I did not have a chance to video this performance, however, I wanted you to hear the arrangement of this song that I wrote for the Elegant Music Quartet. Here is a video that was shot at a wedding at the Brand Library Friendship Garden. See: Elegant Music Quartet Performs “Open Arms” by Journey.

Live Quartet Music During Dinner
The Elegant Music Quartet played throughout dinner performing a variety of classical and contemporary music. The groom was Swedish so in addition to playing “Don’t You Worry Child” by Swedish House Mafia we also played “Dancing Queen” by ABBA.
DJ Dance Music
After dinner and toasts guests enjoyed DJ Dance Music featuring Dance Floor Surround Sound. It is noted here that at this location there is a noise restriction in which amplified music needs to be off at 10:00 PM, however, Dance Floor Surround Sound (a four speaker setup) was so effective in focusing the dance music on the dance floor (where it belongs) that we were allowed to extend dance music well after 10:00 PM.
Working With Artists
This wedding was a triumph in many respects. Congratulations to Frank and Jen and a very well done to Wedding Designers Debbie Liaw and Beverley Peterson of Aquafuzion!
Sincerely, Eric Zimmermann
