The Elegant Music Quintet performed on the 3rd floor terrace of the prestigious California Club 538 Flower Street, Los Angeles, CA 90071.

This ensemble performs a extensive repertoire of classical music, motion picture themes, and custom arrangements of today’s popular songs in the style of Bridgerton for weddings and events in Los Angeles and throughout Southern California.

Instrumentation of the Elegant Music Quintet

Each instrument of the Elegant Music Quintet has its own unique qualities.

This ensemble includes favorite instruments most requested for a chamber music ensemble. It is fun to compose and write music arrangements for this beautiful ensemble.

During a performance these instruments of this ensemble become featured solo instruments playing the melody while the other instruments beautifully harmonize and support the soloist; each instrument takes turns playing the melody and playing accompaniment. In this way the Elegant Music Quintet offers an abundant variety of music textures and a satisfying full sound achieved by the artful paring of the most requested instruments for a chamber music ensemble:

James and Rebecca had been recommended to Elegant Music by the California Club. They were a joy to work with. They made very creative music choices that gave me the opportunity to write new arrangements for the Elegant Music Quintet to perform which sounded great in the acoustics of the California Club 3rd Floor Terrace.

Cocktail Hour – Solo Piano

Following the ceremony, I enjoyed performing solo piano during cocktail hour while guests gathered on the first floor. Songs included classics from the 1920s together with contemporary music favorites.

Again, excellent music choices for this celebration in this location.

The piano sounded great. The California Club has always taken good care of their instruments throughout the club.

Traditions and Standards

There is a lot I can say about the role private clubs play in maintaining traditions and standards set long ago. The management and dedicated staff of the California Club make it their business to be of service to members and help guests feel welcome. California Club

The simple concept having pride in what one does and the satisfaction of a job well done is a quality well illustrated in the Downton Abbey series.

Speaking of “Downton Abbey” I had the opportunity to perform a “High Tea” at the Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena for the movie release party of “Downton Abbey A New Era.”

Here again, the service staff of the Langham stood proudly dressed in “White Tie”, “White Glove” and “Tails” thoroughly enjoyed serving guests during High Tea. See: Downton Abbey High Tea @ The Langham

Congratulations James and Rebecca

James and Rebecca made great choices in composing their wedding. Sheila and I were delighted that Revered Clint Hufft was chosen to be their officiant. We have known Reverend Hufft since 1990 when we first came to Southern California. Reverend Clint Hufft has been a friend and respected wedding officiant. He brings warmth, professionalism, and genuine care to every ceremony.
