Join us for fine wine, cheese, live music and inspiring presentations by distinguished speakers at the Maureen Gaffney Wolfson Art Gallery 19860 Plummer Street, Chatsworth, CA. 91311.

Flutist Sheila Zimmermann will perform an exciting mix of original and multicultural music in an art gallery setting surrounded by original artwork of Maureen Gaffney Wolfson.

 

 

Honoring Women Leaders

in Our Community!

[Los Angeles, CA] – The Maureen Gaffney Wolfson Art Gallery is pleased to announce its inaugural celebration of Women’s History Month after just recently opening its doors in December 2023 to its 3,400 square feet with over 300 fine art pieces painted by Fine Artist Maureen Gaffney Wolfson. This special event will not only showcase the new art gallery as a unique venue, but more importantly feature multicultural women leaders in the community including:

  • Pat Harvey of CBS Los Angeles
  • Christine Devine of Fox Los Angeles,
  • Kimberly Cruz of Fox Sacramento

…along with a diverse representation from the Los Angeles Sheriff and Police Departments including:

  • Deputy Chief Ruby Flores
  • LASD Captain Jennifer Seetoo
  • Senior Lead Officer, Sandra Zamora.

This free event will recognize and honor achievements, contributions, and the community impact that these amazing women have made throughout their life journey. Veteran former political reporter of CBS Los Angeles, Dave Bryan will also emcee the event.

Elegant Music started in 1990 with Sheila and I performing Flute and Piano Music for weddings and parties.

It was from this group that Elegant Music expanded to providing a wide variety of Live Music ensembles, DJ Dance Music and Master of Ceremonies.

Throughout the years Sheila and I have had the pleasure of meeting and performing with some of the finest musicians in Los Angeles.

The musicians of Elegant Music are not only talented artists but are also very nice people. We look for these qualities in the musicians we choose to perform with.

Just as each person is unique, instruments have qualities that are also unique. The sound of each instrument lends variety to the ensemble inspiring exploration and expression in a performance.

It is a lot of fun to talk with someone about music they like; it’s an adventure of discovery.

I have found it is always productive to speak directly to the host/client. The value of a telephone conversation can not be over stated.

During the course of the conversation the clients ideas, comments and concerns are very important in determining the style of music and the ensemble for the event.

So, the client is consulted. Their vision is discovered.  Their desires and concerns are understood.

With these facts established I am confident I can guide the event to success…

The Culinary Arts, Decor, Music and a seamless level of service all working together; magic!

You can learn a lot about someone by talking to them about music; their favorite artists, their favorite songs, performances they have attended, songs from movies they like, combinations of instruments they like, style of music they like. This is one of my favorite parts of planning music.
