Art communicates simple yet powerful concepts that inspire and beget more art. You could say it “goes viral” but in a good way :-)
Creativity wins the day. It’s organic, non GMO, polyunsaturated, and best of all, it’s free! Go ahead and splurge on it.
Helping to plan music for a special event or wedding celebration is a lot of fun. Everyone gets caught up in the creative process. I get inspired, the people I am helping get inspired, and together we create something beautiful.
True, we are all in this together so, here’s to our new beginning 2021. Happy New Year Everyone!

Very creative and sure of what she wanted, our bride Sabrina made good decisions with the aesthetic wisdom of an old soul. She and her mother where an absolute pleasure to work with.
Mother nature enjoyed the presence of Sabrina and Johnathan…
At the rehearsal dinner, I had the opportunity to speak with the father of the bride and confided in him that I was impressed with his daughter’s creativity and developed sense of aesthetics. As we spoke it became clear to me that it had been his intention as a father to impart his love of music to his daughter. In their household, music was curated by dad, and when she was 8 years old he started taking her to rock concerts. Their first concert together was the Rolling Stones. (I think that is a really good start :-) Recently they caught Paul McCartney at Dodger Stadium. See Paul’s setlist for that evening.

This wedding was beautifully coordinated by Tracey Sanders Events.
Well, actually it depends on several things including the style of music, the size of the audience and acoustics of the room.
Performances are sacred. More than mere entertainment, a performance by an accomplished artist should be respected by offering one’s attention. A religious observance, wedding ceremony or a meaningful toast have this profound quality. The audience, location, occasion and yes acoustics contribute greatly to creating a special moment that lives on.
This video is an excerpt from the Elegant Music 15th Anniversary Concert. Soprano Sisu Raiken’s performance is completely captivating (without a microphone.) As a consummate performer, microphones have very little to do with it. The location is an improvised stage on the stairs and landing of the North atrium of Figueroa at Wilshire 601 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, CA. This iconic building boasts 2 atriums with 75 foot ceilings of glass and tile. Amazing acoustics!
Figueroa at Wilshire was once the site of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church a 1,200-seat church dedicated on July 13, 1924. For this performance the sun, moon and stars aligned and a goddess appeared and she did her thing! An amazing performance that in a way rededicated this sacred place.
See more video of performances captured in the North atrium of this beautiful downtown office building.
Having a vision and making it happen is what planning a great event is all about. I look forward to speaking with you about your ideas for that coming special event.
Sincerely, Eric Zimmermann
