Musicians of Elegant Music

Sheila and I established Elegant Music in Los Angeles in 1990 performing Flute and Piano music for weddings and parties.

Adding Violin and Cello to Flute and Piano we formed a chamber music quartet.

In addition to performing classical and popular music, I also enjoy playing Jazz and so established the Elegant Music Jazz Trio and met some wonderfully talented musicians.  Shortly after that we added DJ and Master of Ceremonies services.

Of course musicians that we hire have to be good players but in addition to being talented the musicians we require that they be nice people.

We have a “stable” of 50 or so musicians who over the years have performed consistently well and who conduct themselves professionally with a kind demeanor.

It’s not rocket science but it follows that nice people are more responsible and work well with others.

These are artists, and it is a joy to know them and work with them.

I have known and worked with Marty, Tommy and Karla in duo, trio, quartet and six-piece band settings for well over 25 years. Probably the best way to describe them is, “they are professionals.”

Violinist Mishkar Nunez

Mr. Nunez is a true artist who is totally at home on the concert stage, chamber ensemble, jazz ensemble or wedding cocktail hour.

A Graduate of USC Miskar has performed Classical, Rock and Pop Music at the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion with such conductors as Michael Tilson Thomas.

Elaine Litster – Harpist and Pianist

Sheila and I have known Elaine and her family for over 30 years. She is an excellent musician and a nice person; helpful; responsible.  Elaine has performed on the Elegant Music 10th Anniversary Concert and 15th Anniversary Concert. She is my “go-to” Harpist and Pianist.
