…Though we enjoy the excitement of a bridal show, a bridal show is often noisy and fast paced allowing little opportunity to talk.

A Quick Wedding Itinerary Sketch

A wedding itinerary sketch is an organizing tool. Even before you have secured your date and wedding location it would be good to have an itinerary sketch of your wedding. Here is what you already know:

Your celebration will be either a morning wedding or an evening wedding.

Your wedding ceremony will be about 1 hour.

Your cocktail hour will be about 1 hour.

Your wedding reception will be about 4 hours.

So plan on a 6 hour block of time for your wedding celebration. Morning weddings usually go from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Evening weddings usually go from 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM.

Part of planning a wedding includes talking to vendors about their service and collecting information.

Showing your itinerary sketch with a wedding vendor gives the vendor important information about the timing of your wedding.

Looking over the sketch the vendor would understand your wedding and make suggestions and confidently offer a quote.

Discussing your itinerary sketch with the vendor will help you understand how their service will contribute to your wedding and what you are getting for his quote/price.
