Planning a special event or a wedding is a learning process, even for professionals.
If you haven’t planned a major event before, you have a lot to look forward to.
Lots of Information
Information comes at us all the time. Bombarded by everything from the daily news to advertisements.
What with radio, television and the internet there is certainly a lot of information out there. Is it possible for our minds to “run out of room” or experience “information overload?” It certainly could feel that way.
Some of it may be useful but not the complete picture.
You can take a break and watch a video on the Elegant Music Video Index page. We all know “a picture is worth a thousand words” so a moving picture is worth… more!
But this too is more information!
Yikes!
Most individuals are new to planning a large event. Due to “lack of experience” they can become uncertain of all the details; it’s all too new.
Yes, they are gathering a lot of information and yet there is something missing…
You may have seen the Elegant Music Quartet perform at a Bridal Show.
I love performing/exhibiting and meeting people at bridal shows.
But a bridal show is often noisy and overwhelming with little opportunity to talk.
What’s missing?
We never stop learning.
The best way to learn is to strike a balance between receiving information and expressing your own ideas!
Yes, communication!
Conversation, exchanging ideas and asking even seemingly “dumb questions” works wonders!
Concepts come together. Solutions present themselves.
