Festival of Trees – Holiday Fundraiser at the Annandale Country Club
Get behind a good cause and everybody wants to join the fun. This event gets bigger every year with more donors, more money raised and more fun. I think this was the 4th successful year of this fundraiser. This event is quickly becoming a Pasadena Holiday Tradition.
Designer Christmas Trees
Imagine having a Christmas tree delivered to your home and then fully decorated by design staff complete with special gifts that go with the “theme of the tree”. That’s how the festival of trees raises money for the Boys and Girls Club to help families in need.
This elegant holiday party (including dinner and dancing) is hosted at the Annandale Country Club; Curt Gilliland Club House Manager. The next party is coming up at the beginning of December 2015.
Master of Ceremonies
I enjoyed being the Master of Ceremonies for the fundraising portion earlier in the evening. It was a bit challenging to make announcements during the noisy cocktail hour where everyone was enjoying the company of each other. I was told later that my announcements and descriptions of the raffle and auction items did not fall on deaf ears; that “though it seems as if no one was listening” attendees did take interest in the offered items and sales did occur. I was also told later they had their best fundraiser ever. I was glad to hear that.
Then, I got to be the DJ!
