Actor and Master of Ceremonies, a Perfect Fit
I have a blast performing for weddings and parties as a Pianist, DJ and Master of Ceremonies. I have just as much fun as a commercial actor. These activities are creative and have “communication” in common.
Before we met, Elaine (Bride) had already hired her DJ/MC. She is a very creative person (a hair and makeup artist) and had a clear vision for her wedding. She hired the Elegant Music Quartet to perform for her wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. I love working with artists. Artists get it. They understand “presentation” and “performance.” Working together we created a beautiful wedding ceremony program which included motion picture music from “Pride and Prejudice” and “Father of the Bride” (see below).
Need A Master of Ceremonies
In a final meeting about a week before her wedding to go over last minute details we started talking about her grand entrance and then a concern popped up about how it would be done. After talking with Elaine a bit I said, well this is how I would do it….
She liked what she heard and so asked if I would be the Master of Ceremonies for her grand entrance. This was such a nice validation because she chose me for being me.

I went to school for music performance but as a commercial actor I have had the unique opportunity to “be lots of people”. Businessman, Father, Doctor, Engineer, Airline Pilot… Yup, I’m all those guys.
In some ways being in front of an audience every weekend has helped me be a better actor and in some ways being an actor has helped me be a better Master of Ceremonies. I love what I do, it’s a perfect fit.
