The night was going well. Very nice people. As I was filming dancers, I caught several lens flares and made pictures out of them. To me, these are captured moments of dancers forgetting themselves and simply enjoying Dance Music with each other.

This is a great song that I enjoyed arranging for Quartet. I have been writing Quartet arrangements for over 30 years. As a result the Elegant Music Quartet plays a large and interesting repertoire. I received requests from several guests as well as a playlist from the Ally and Mike. Requests were organized into Dinner Music and Dance Music. This successfully guided dance music throughout the evening. Here is a short list of what was played.

The first movement of the Bach Brandenburg Concerto #3 is the first selection in this concert by the Elegant Music Quartet.
To authentically perform Bach I set my electronic keyboard to a “harpsichord” setting.
A Motion Picture combines many art forms:
These art forms come together and each influencing the other creating something new.
This is a perfect example of Aristotle’s “the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.“
In his work Metaphysics the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle used this idea to explain that a structured whole (like a living organism or an organized team) has a value or synergy that exceeds the mere addition of its individual parts.
I experience this every time I perform with the Elegant Music Quartet.

I had a lot of fun putting this program together which occurred earlier this spring at Friendly Valley in Santa Clarita, CA.
In this performance there is a motion picture that accompanies each of these selections.
