Going to a bridal show and collecting information is a lot of fun and a good start. I am sure you have gotten ideas.

Doing an Itinerary SKETCH of your wedding is a very good idea.
Even if you don’t yet have a date or location for your wedding…
…an Itinerary SKETCH is a place to put your ideas.
There are many benefits of creating an Itinerary SKETCH of your wedding; here are some of the benefits:
- The Itinerary creates a time-line showing how your wedding will unfold throughout your celebration. It’s not rocket science but rather simply done.
- Handing a prospective wedding professional your Itinerary SKETCH provides the wedding & event professional important information. The result, a productive conversation; the vendor will understand your celebration and will be able to suggest helpful services and feel confident about giving you an accurate quote.
- Doing an Itinerary SKETCH with your Fiancee is an opportunity to share ideas with one another. She has her ideas, he has his ideas. Making these known early in the planning process helps the couple organize and present a united plan to family and friends who want to help.
- Announcements can (and should be) added to your Itinerary SKETCH. This way you can have control over what your Master of Ceremonies will say. You can make sure he has his facts straight so that he will correctly represent you and your family.
- An itinerary develops. Over time it becomes more and more complete. Once you are satisfied that your itinerary is correct you can give this document to your:

Evening Wedding Itinerary SKETCH
Let’s say you are planning to have an evening wedding.
5:00 – 6:00 PM Wedding ceremony is about 1 hour. This will be expanded to include your Wedding Ceremony Program. (Wedding ceremony processional music and wedding recessional music. )
6:00 – 7:00 PM Cocktail hour is about 1 hour. (Guests enjoy refreshments while the Bride and Groom take pictures.)
7:00 – 11:00 PM A standard wedding reception is 4 hours:
7:00 Grand entrance
First Dance
Welcome Toasts
7:00 – 8:00 Dinner
8:00 – 9:00 Traditional dances and Open Dancing
9:00 Cake Cutting
Groom and Bride say “Thank you” on the mic.
Groom and Bride take their places on the dance floor.
9:15 Married Couple Dance
9:15 – 11:00 Open Dancing.
11:00 End Music
