They Can’t Take That Away From Me, Jazz Trio with Soloists

A Jazz Trio of Piano, String Bass and Drums is called a “Rhythm Section.”  This is the fundamental combination of instruments which makes up the back bone of any larger ensemble such as a Big Band.  A Trio of Piano, String Bass and Drums can perform all by it self.

It is very easy to add soloists to this group to expand musical possibilities.

The basic instrument is “Piano.”  Then any other instrument can be added:

Sax

Trumpet

Guitar

Swing Violin

 

 

For this performance  I featured two wonderful soloists: Female Vocalist Karl Kelly and Sax Player Robert Kyle.  Both are very special individuals and great performers.

I have a lot of fun performing with my Jazz Trio and it is quite a treat to add Robert and Karla.
